As a book on recent India, it’s one of the best, maybe the best, that I’ve read – a mammoth amount of information, put together in a way that anybody can read. He’s a serious historian, but it’s written in a way that really makes you want to turn the page. If one wants to understand contemporary India, this is the book to read. In short 80% of the book comprises of the problems what India is facing like corruption/poverty etc 20% comprises of what Mr Bhagat thinks the solution to those problems are. I personally feel its the case of a misguided missile or rather misleading title (since 80% of the book screams about problems rather than about how to make India awesome!) The only two good things I found about this book /5.

Many of Ramachandra Guha’s books would help you enormously. A few are India After Gandhi, Democrats and Dissenters, Makers of Modern India and Patriots and Partisans. Also Shashi Tharoor’s India: From Midnight to the Millenium and Pax Indica. Howe.   Susan also owns an award-winning blog for business women, Women on Business, where she and a team of diverse contributors offer thought leadership to women working at all levels in the business world.
